Sparkling wine from Pallagrello bianco

“Prima Gioia” is the first classic method sparkling wine from Pallagrello bianco grapes, which went on the market on May 22, 2017 with the 2014 vintage.

“Prima Gioia” is produced from two Pallagrello bianco vineyards, the first raised with the system called “Pergola,” the second with the system called “Guyot.

The pergola allows for a high quantity of grapes, so the plant is overloaded and the grapes retain more acidity. The spurred cordon, inversely, allows very small quantities of grapes to be produced but so concentrated in aromas and sugars.

Thus, grapes from the two different vineyards are vinified separately and blended in January. After blending, the sparkling process begins, yeast and sugar are added to the wine and it is bottled.

In this way, alcoholic fermentation takes place inside the bottle. This process allows the formation of the famous bubbles.

Hints of lime, marigold, wild thyme, pink pepper and musk give life to a deep and exciting array. On the palate, fine and persistent perlage aids aromatic complexity
